The Sketchnote Typeface was born of necessity: I needed a series of hand-drawn fonts to produce my book. So from the get-go, the typeface was made to be practical, to convey the human character of my

TEXT, ITALIC & BOLD
Sketchnote Text is a friendly, casual script with a bouncy baseline and a warm texture. To emulate natural handwriting, OpenType features automatically switch between multiple versions of each letter or number, with over 240 alternates in each text font. OpenType kerning classes are used with unique kerns made to tame pairings of all those wily alternates for consistent spacing.

SKETCHNOTE SQUARE
Sketchnote Square is a bold, somewhat compressed headline type that complements the text fonts. Drawn instead of written, the characters in Square have neat little happenstance voids within the strokes.

SKETCHNOTE DINGBATS
Dingbats features a handy selection of fun icons, rules, and arrowssome functional tidbits for your design projects.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Sketchnote Text is intended for use at smaller sizes, for longer bits of copy in magazines, books, and websites. This font was inspired by my axe restoration workshop Amaton Axe Company. A taller and narrower display block font option to counter Bucktooth Block, Woodsman has various character quirks that give this font an attitude.

Woodsman has 4 styles:

SLAB gives you a heavy, chunky, look with rectangular serifs. A classic look.

PILLAR softens up the SLAB option by creating a slightly angled serif. This is the buttoned up option of the four styles.

SPIKE is the wild child of the font family. Cutting the serifs of SLAB into shear angles gives you a more aggressive option.

BLOCK is the Sans Serif option and is a great sub-text option for the heavier serif options.

• You will NEED A GLYPHS PANEL to access the alternates, as they are in blank character slots. You can find a Glyphs panel in programs like Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape or Photoshop CC. • There are NO PNG or PSD files included. The vectors can be opened with vector editing software, and have been saved as legacy versions (so, you'll be fine as far back as CS2).

• Please Note this font is SMOOTH. If you plan on using a Silhouette or Cricut machine, you're in luck. These fonts were made for YOU!

• NOTE: I don't own a Silhouette or Cricut machine. I just know they prefer smooth fonts. :) If you're using either machine and you have questions, it's probably best to contact the companies directly. I'm not going to be much help. :)

• To manipulate the logos, you'll need either Illustrator or Inkscape, and to avoid any font substitution problems, just install all the font files BEFORE you open the AI/EPS files. Also, please don't just resell the logos as your own. There's no licensing for that kind of usage. Plus, it makes me sad.

Here is what you get in the download:

• New York City SVG (uppercase-only, with an alt set of uppercase letters that you have access to via the lowercase keys, numbers and punctuation) - this is the OpenSVG version of the font. All the letters are basically bitmap images (instead of vectors) - each letter has been painted a dozen of times.

• New York City Solid - basically the same as above, but a vectorised, normal version for people who are not able to use the SVG version but still want to use the font. Remember that this version doesn't have any transparency, but still a lot of texture.

• PDF Guide with tutorials on how to use the font and how to change colors in Photoshop & Illustrator

• Multilingual support for the non-SVG version for the following languages included: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Swedish, Norweigen, Danish, Dutch, Turkish, Finnish, Romanian, Hungarian and Estonian (if something is missing or you've got a request please let me know and I'll try to add it to the next update).

I excluded support for other languages for the SVG version due to size reduction...
