Matter is a typeface developed to support the designer in a multitude of ways. I'm not pigeon-holing this typeface into any particular style, however, it's probably more of a solid, headline display typeface. You could use it in editorial, magazine, product packaging, branding, etc.
Inspiration came from other typefaces and my desire to keep it simple, bold, and utilize rounded corners in each character.
It's really up to you as the designer to determine what this typeface can do, just make it Matter.
